Terms of Use

1. Who we are

Noli (the app and noli.app) is run by the operator below ("we", "us"). These Terms of Use are the agreement between you and us when you use Noli. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your personal data.

2. Who can use Noli (16+)

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. By signing up you confirm that you are. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under 16, we will close it and delete its data.

3. Your account

• You sign in with Apple or Google. We don't use passwords, so keep the Apple or Google account you sign in with secure.
• One person, one account. Don't share it, sell it or pretend to be someone else.
• You are responsible for what happens in your account. Tell us right away if you think someone else is using it.

4. What Noli does

Noli is a short-video app for learning, built around a few features:

• Saves: share a video link (for example from Instagram, TikTok or YouTube) to Noli, or send it to Noli by Instagram direct message. Our AI turns it into a recipe, workout or a few tips and files it in your profile. We don't download or re-host other people's videos; each save links back to the original.
• Feeds: "For you", "Following" and Discover show posts and public saves. "Following" is not personalised; see how our feeds work.
• Takeaways: 3–5 AI-generated key points attached to posts that you can save to your Library.
• AI chat: builds plans (for example a meal plan or a workout plan) from your own saves.

We keep improving Noli, so features can change. If a change takes away something important you pay for, we will tell you in advance and you keep your rights described in Noli Pro subscriptions.

5. AI Takeaways and AI chat

• Takeaways, saves (recipes, workouts, tips), categories and chat answers are generated by AI from the video's caption, transcript or metadata. AI makes mistakes: it can miss steps, misread amounts or state things with too much confidence.
• Not professional advice. Nothing in Noli is medical, nutritional, fitness, psychological, legal or financial advice. Check important information against the original source and a qualified professional.
• Fitness and nutrition. Talk to a doctor before starting a new training or diet plan, especially if you are pregnant, injured or have a health condition. Stop if something hurts. Calorie and macro numbers are estimates. Check allergens yourself.
• Don't use the AI chat to create anything illegal or harmful, and don't try to make it ignore its rules.

6. Your content and the content you save

"Your content" means anything you post, upload, import or write in Noli: videos, images, captions, comments, notes, profile details and the links you save.

• You keep ownership. We don't claim any rights in your content beyond the licence below.
• Licence to us. You give us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, copy, transcode, display and distribute your content inside Noli and in links shared from Noli, and to create AI-derived summaries of it (Takeaways, recipes, workouts, tips, transcripts, captions and categories). We use this licence only to run, show and improve Noli. It ends when you delete the content or your account, except for copies others already saved where you made the content public, backups that rotate out, and anything we must keep by law.
• Private by default. Saves you send by Instagram direct message are private until you make them public. You choose who sees each save.
• Saving other people's videos. When you save someone else's video, Noli stores a link and a summary in our own words, never a copy of the video. Creators can ask us to hide their videos from public surfaces at any time.

7. Creators and Instagram / TikTok import

If you publish posts on Noli or import your own videos from Instagram or TikTok:

• You confirm you own the content or have all the rights needed (including for music, people shown and brands), and that publishing it on Noli doesn't break anyone's rights or the law.
• Imports use only the official Instagram and TikTok APIs, and only after you connect your own account and agree. We never scrape these platforms. You choose which posts to publish; nothing is published automatically.
• Licensed music from Instagram or TikTok does not carry over to Noli. We may mute or reject a video if we can't confirm the audio is yours.
• Check the AI Takeaways for your posts before publishing. You can edit or remove them.
• You can disconnect Instagram or TikTok at any time in Settings. We then revoke our access token and stop importing.
• Accounts that repeatedly infringe other people's rights will be closed.

8. Community rules (zero tolerance)

Noli has zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive users. Don't post, save, send or link to:

• anything illegal, including child sexual abuse material (reported to authorities);
• hate speech, harassment, bullying, threats or doxxing;
• sexual or pornographic content, or graphic violence;
• content promoting self-harm, eating disorders, dangerous challenges, extreme diets or unsafe training;
• terrorist or violent extremist content;
• scams, spam, fake engagement, malware or misleading health claims;
• content that infringes copyright, trademarks or privacy;
• impersonation of people or brands.

Also don't abuse the service: no bots, scraping, reverse engineering, getting around limits or paywalls, or attacking our systems.

9. Reporting, blocking and moderation

• Report: every post, profile and comment has a report option in the app. You can also email us (see DSA information).
• Block: blocking someone hides you from each other.
• Review within 24 hours: we review reports within 24 hours and act on objectionable content, including removing it and closing the account that posted it.
• Automated checks: new content is pre-screened automatically. When the result is uncertain, a person reviews it before it is published.
• Statement of reasons: if we remove or restrict your content or account, we tell you what we did, why, which rule or law applies, whether automation was involved and how you can challenge it.
• Complaints: you can appeal a moderation decision (or our decision not to act on your report) for at least 6 months, free of charge, in the app or by email. A person reviews every appeal. You may also use a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body or go to court. Details: DSA information.

We may suspend accounts that often post manifestly illegal content, or that often send manifestly unfounded reports, after a warning.

10. Intellectual property

Noli's name, logo, design, software and our own content belong to us or our licensors. You may use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes. Content from other users and creators belongs to them. To report an infringement of your rights, use the in-app report or email us with the content's link and proof of your rights.

11. Noli Pro subscriptions

Noli is free to use. The free plan has limits, currently 30 saves per month and 30 AI chat messages per day. Noli Pro removes these limits and adds extra features as described in the app.

• Billing: Noli Pro is sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play, and the store charges your account. We never see your card details. The store's terms also apply to your purchase.
• Price: the price, billing period and any trial are shown in the store before you confirm the purchase, in your local currency, including any VAT. Prices can differ by country.
• Free trial: some plans include a free trial for new subscribers. When the trial ends, it turns into a paid subscription at the price shown, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends. Each store decides who is eligible for a trial.
• Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends. The store charges the renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
• Cancel: in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings (or Settings → Manage subscription in Noli). You keep Pro until the end of the period you paid for. Deleting the app or your Noli account does not cancel the subscription in the store, so cancel it there first.
• Refunds: handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies. This doesn't limit your statutory rights.
• Restore: use "Restore purchases" in the app to bring Pro to a new device signed in to the same store account.
• Changes: we may change Pro features, prices or free-plan limits. We will tell you in advance; price changes apply from your next billing period and the store will ask for your consent where required. You can cancel before a change takes effect.

12. Right of withdrawal (EU)

If you are a consumer in the EU, you usually have 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. For digital content and services that start right away, when you buy Noli Pro you ask for it to start immediately and acknowledge that you lose the right of withdrawal once it has started, as allowed by EU consumer law. Apple and Google, as sellers, handle any withdrawal or refund requests under their terms. Your legal rights if Noli Pro does not work as described stay unaffected.

13. Ending your account

• You can delete your account at any time in the app (Settings → Account → Delete account). We delete your account data within 30 days, as described in the Privacy Policy.
• We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect other users. We will tell you why and how to appeal, unless the law prevents us. If we close your account without your fault while you have an active Pro subscription, you can ask for a pro-rata refund.
• If we ever shut down Noli, we will give you at least 30 days' notice.

14. Liability

• We provide Noli with reasonable care and skill. Your statutory rights as a consumer, including for digital content and services that do not conform to the contract, apply in full.
• We are not responsible for content posted by other users or third parties, or for decisions you make based on AI-generated content, except where the law makes us responsible.
• Nothing in these terms limits liability for intent or gross negligence, for death or personal injury we cause, or any other liability that can't be limited by law.
• Otherwise, where the law allows, we are liable only for foreseeable damage typical for this kind of service.

15. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms, for example when we add features or the law changes. For important changes we will tell you in the app or by email at least 30 days before they apply (sooner only where the law or a security issue requires it). If you don't agree, you can delete your account before the change applies. The date at the top shows the latest version.

16. Governing law and disputes

• These terms are governed by Slovak law. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in your local courts.
• Please contact us first; most issues can be solved by email. If you are a consumer and we reject your complaint or don't reply within 30 days, you can ask for alternative dispute resolution under Slovak Act No. 391/2015 Coll., for example with the Slovak Trade Inspection (Slovenská obchodná inšpekcia, SOI).
• The EU Online Dispute Resolution (ODR) platform was discontinued in July 2025, so we no longer link to it.
